Compy rules !! He is the only guy I know who goes to the track
and consistently runs better times on mods seldom costing more than the quoted 50 bucks ! In the past three runs he has knocked 1.5 secs off his time and is now gunning for a record 2 secs . Watch out Vito....that MG comment really got him wound up!
Bob in CT...sorry about the schedule. This was more spontaneous than anything. Are you up for another Port Jeff meeting?
As info, if anyone is interested in meeting at Manorville
before the track, to save the RT mileage from the Pit please advise me via e-mail for details. I am on Wading River Road 1/2 mi south of LIE exit 69 and or 2 miles north of Rte 27 exit 59. We can hook up 10:30-11am, have bagels/coffee, "buff up" and meet the crew at the track which is about 15 minutes away.
Dan....the spec Miata is looking Goooodd !!

Chris I think we are shut out of Tuesday night.I don'y know of any location other than Bald Hill and it is too long of a haul. I have no idea on a new spot.
Kids say weather is clear for Tuesday. My oldest little one is hopping up her 5.0 T bird and wants to work in a speed shop.O where did I go wrong!

Bill we need to find a spot. What about some of the areas behind the Syosset Ford in the idustial park or the Oyster Bay train station there is never anyone parked there, and St Rocos is over. The second (201) in OB is easy to deal with alot of us are locals. call me at the shop or on my cell i would like to meet up.

Vito !! This is your day coming up . Your motor sounded
wicked last time ! Drop those DR's down to low psi and let's hear that clutch dump! We should all be seniors at the Launch High School Prom this time out ! Yeah right !!
Sounds good until we get there and that stupid tree goes blinkity blink !! God I hate that damn thing. Such tension there!
Forget it....I'm staying home.
Is Andrew in the loop ?? I e-mailed him but got no response.
Hoping for dry weather !

Bill I know a place we can go the owner wull set up a buffet for us, on the arm and a cash bar. Plus he will close down his lot for us. the lot is in direct view of the clam bar with only a 4 foot fence between use so we don't have to wory to much about the cars, they will never leave our sight we just need a good # of guys to show. and it is local
I would love to go on sat if i can get away from the shop, i am runing 308 gears i would rather go longer then a 1/4 mile, i was build for the high way.

Hey, I have a question about tire pressure on the dragway. I was suprised to learn that I had nearly 35psi in all 4 tires and reduced them to @22psi at VIR, curious what pressures you guys think gets the best grip in the fronts and the rears.
I know it's generally tough to try and get the launch right without spinning.
