Talking My turn

I have finally taken the plunge and ordered my kit today.
Should have it in my garage by the end of september.
And I thought the waiting to order was bad, I only ordered it 8 hours ago and my feet are itchy allready.
My car is from www.classicrevival.com.au
It will be similar in setup as Aussie Mikes car.
my cheeks are aching from the grin
I was stuck in the bank for 20 minutes explaining my grin to the young fella that served me when sending the deposit.

Default Congrats Mate

Whats this " I have taken the plunge " bit ??
This is a lifestyle change, now the fun begins.

Must say tho, I am a little worried about ya..I read your profile and there are 2 letters with a number that makes me think you are a confused lil fella.

I've read up on all the Ford motors and just cant find the one you say you're gonna use.

Congrats again

You all take care

Exciting times ahead!!!

How much of the assembly is Ian doing for you? It looks like he does nice work!

If you have it by September, that means you'll be able to enter the Cobra Nationals in October

I have ordered the body and chassis kit so I dont think it will be quite ready come october
I have the full drive train and suspension sitting in my shed here in Alice, so it is a matter of doing the engine mods i want, seeing aussie mike around december and etting gearbox mods done, then alll the expensive little bits.
I have allowed myself 2 years to put it together, so maybe october 2005

That's some good news David. The couple of months wait between now and when your Body/Chassis arrives will seem to take forever. I was visiting Ian every few weeks and at least got to see it evolve.

You won't be sitting on your butt between now and then though. There's suspension and brake parts to source and refurbish and an engine to build. If I have half as much fun driving as I am building it will be worth it.

Looking forward to seeing you again in December. We'll throw some steaks on the BBQ while we pull your gearbox apart.

Look out Les, We'll have our own class at the nationals soon since all the Ford guys won't be able to keep up.

Cheers

Hey Mike, did you make a decision on the XR6 yet? I will have my XR8 ute at the next club meeting if you are interested.
