Default Hydraulic bearings and clutch weights...

I have sent Centerforce a question on potential problems while using the Dual friction clutch that has weights, along with a Tilton series 6 hydraulic bearing.

Some people say that the weights interfere with the bearing's self adjusting that results in an addittional quarter inch pedal travel. Are there any other problems??

OK who clips off the weights????

I need to know ASAP as the tranny is going back in tomorrow...
Thanks...

I have cut a few off over the years...

McLeod doesn't use them. I can't see any reason to use them.

They have come off....

While removeing... I wonder if they have something to do with a vibration I have had... It was always there, but worse at different times. This is after replacing, engine, tranny, clutch (same type), flywheel, driveshaft.

The vibration occured at engine rev, so it had nothing to do with tranny to wheels!

Thanks David...

Leadfoot,
Red, from McLeod told me years ago to cut them off. We have on every one and have not had the first problem since!

DV...just another opinion
