Autoweek, Grassroots Motorsports, and a whole mess of technical journals.

Dude! Got any spare copies of Nuclear News? I had no idea there was even such a mag.

Thanks for all the responses. Please keep them coming. Seems like Autoweek is really where all the hard core nuts like me are.

David:) :) :)

acaskie 07-31-2003 08:03 PM

I'm almost embarrassed to expose all of this, but here goes:
Autoweek
Automobile
Car and Driver
Road and Track
Kit Car

Hot Rod
Street Rodder
and Quilter's News

I have it on the highest authority (President Bush no less) it's NOT nu-cle-ar,,,,,it's NU-CLAR. We need Wilf in the White House to keep the spelling tightened up around there (and here, lol).

Wouldn't necessarily look here for a car - but read it..... Fortune (probably pretty expensive advertising).

Autoweek
Kit Car

Sports Car International - ADVERTISE HERE!

Didn't they do a story on you already? Just read features about Lynx (Jaguar XKSS replica) and Birkin (Lotus 7 replica).

Car & Driver
Road & Track
Autoweek

It's really not a matter of how many people read these magazines, rather how many of the readers fit your buyer demographic. My first guess would be SCI.

Jamo 08-01-2003 12:16 AM

What do I read? Heck, I read for a living!!!!!!!!!

However, as to venues for ads...Robb Report is something I read every month and it would certainly be a worthwhile recipient of your ad dollars.

I would also suggest the WSJ...you'd be surprized at the ads you find in there.

There are few months where I miss reading Automobile, R&T, C&D, European Classic Car.

FST HSKR 08-01-2003 08:30 AM

How about ads on other web sites, NASCAR, Jayski or even the Weather Channel, I visit these sites more than once a day. May cost to much? Just a thought.

Hey John, where does one subscribe to "Good Luck!" magazine? I could use a lifetime subscription to that right about now--:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

Hi David,

I mostly read Tom Clancy, WEB Griffin and Dean Koontz.

Paul

Although I like Clancy as well, David might have a hard time advertising in one of his books.;) Maybe he can work out a plot where Jack Ryan drives a Kirkham.:D

As an aside, I like Ayn Rand when I am feeling like I work in a crazy industry to help me regain my perspective.

Regards,

Keith

Kieth,

I cannot believe that no one else mentioned Grassroots Motorsports. They even built a FFR Spec Racer!.

Yeah, Clancy's neat,

Paul

RallySnake - If you'll go back and look, you'll find Grassroots Motorsports mentioned in my post and I believe at least one other.

My list is:

Autoweek
Rod & Custom

Jamo is right about the WSJ. There is quite often ads for high dollar toys and gadgets.

Satanpez 08-02-2003 12:42 AM

The Atlantic.

Not much competition. Seems only Maserati buys car ads in there. I..wouldn't market unfinished cars in there tho.
