Clutch/ spigot bearing problem?
Further to my earlier post about leaving out the spigot bearing on the back of the crankshaft (WHAT A MUPPET), I took the engine out (again) and installed a new spigot bearing in the back of the crankshaft, put the engoine back in again but now I seem to have a vibration problem. It goes away with the clutch depressed, but when I let up the clutch (driving in gear or in neutral) I get a vibration. If I depress the clutch it goes away but when I let it up it can be better ot worse, theres no telling. If I hadn't put the spigot bearing in I would have said that its the clutch not lining up when it's clamped to the flywheel but after I've put the bearing in?????
Its a ford 302 with a toploader gearbox. I cjhecked that it fitted on the gearbox input shaft so surely it should be OK?
Help...I'm about to drive the damn thing into a lake I'm so pi**ed off with it.
