Chaplin,

Are you interested in a Stainless Hybrid FIA? They really handle much better than the original leaf spring car. We are making 2 of them right now. Seems like every time we put something on ebay, we sell 3 cars for every one we sell on ebay.

David:) :) :)

David-
She's a stickler for accurate/original asthetics on the outside, but she's fully in favor of technoligical advances where they can't be seen. Therefore, I think she would probably insist on the hybrid;)

Durt 08-26-2003 12:32 PM

Make mine Viking blue, please.

ToyCollector 08-26-2003 02:45 PM

Lew, I saw your motor at Southern Today, all buttoned up and ready to go. :3DSMILE: I will need to read up on this sniper stuff. ;) :D

TC:

Great, glad to know it's alive and well. Hopefully it's tucked in the corner safely as I won't need it for a while. I can't wait to see or hear it.

Jamo 08-26-2003 07:00 PM

patience, grasshopper...patience....

Lew Ledyard 08-26-2003 07:38 PM

Jamo:

I am in no hurry and do not want to rush anyone. I want everyone to take their time and do it right. Best to build it right right from the start. You know the old saw, "marriage in haste...". This is a marriage.

How about those inner door pix?

Jamo 08-26-2003 07:40 PM

Don't rush me.

Lew Ledyard 08-26-2003 07:44 PM

I mean no disrespect to anyone from England, Australia, or the middle ages(or those who dress like they are from the middle ages). If you could here me speak the words in the above post you would LYAO. No smilies used because they would take away from the delivery of the "joke".
As an olive branch, I'm shouting nexttime I'm D.U.
Ya'll go make a veggimite sandwich and leave this car alone.;)

Ya'll didn't think I was gonna let this thread slip away without a smartazzed post did ya?

ToyCollector 08-26-2003 08:25 PM

SFCJ, do whatever you want to the thread. Just don't bid on the auction :D !! And that goes for everyone else ;) !

southernfriedcj 08-26-2003 08:25 PM

I just happen to have room for one more K car.

David, you're just like my wife and kids. Everything I say they try and hold me to.
Why don't you save everybody(me ) alot of time(mine ) and money(mine ) and just let Rich pick the car up for me next week. I'll forward the funds(same as the last car) and we'll call it even. Who needs all the Ebay drama when we have a long term relationship to think about? Sounds like a plan. Do you still take checks?:3DSMILE:

ToyCollector 08-26-2003 08:27 PM

SFCJ, watch out, you may own this thing !! :p

I'll need a DD. I don't want the only hybrid in GA getting ragged out.:p

ToyCollector 08-26-2003 08:37 PM

What's a DD? Not in my southern dictionary. I am trying to keep up with Lew L, even though I said he already won. One word, son, "Stainless" . ;) :D

Yes a FIA car would make a nice vintage racer, just not sure I can afford the cases of "Depends" to drive it at 10/10ths on the track %/ .

Steve R 08-26-2003 08:38 PM

Durt,
On the subject of sniping, it's funny, just a couple of days ago I had someone try to explain it to me. He told me that you can
go to a web site called snipe.com or something like that to get an edge on bidding. You pay them a fee and somehow they will
shoot a winning bid out for you in the last 3 seconds of the auction.
I probably am over simplifying it a bit. Maybe someone could fill in the blanks for me.
Steven:)

David, Steve or Tom K.,

A brief digression for a minute. Are those pads on the end of the arms of your lift in your pics made by you guys? Real interesting. Any story behind them, and why not regular? Have the round frame tubes caused some worries from a slippage on the lift perspective?

David Kirkham 08-26-2003 09:25 PM

SFCJ,

If this goes for what you paid for your car last time, you'll have to scrape me up off the floor with a spatula as I will be passed out on the floor. When I saw you had bid on the car, I held my breath...Now I can't breathe for another 9 days!!!

See what you did to me?

David:D :D :D
