My bet is $60K

Just saw a bid. Get the popcorn ready for 10:30 eastern or so.

Before ANYONE gets any funny ideas...
I just spoke to Steve who has spoken to "onlinesurfer" a few times. We truly believe he is a legit bidder. Steve says he was a really nice guy on the phone. We, of course, don't give out names for privacy reasons. Bluedog, NO ONE, (that I am aware of) from Provo, (or Utah for that matter) is bidding on that car. There are only two of our cars in Utah right now--not counting our own Kirkham cars, that is. Neither of the Utah cars were bought from ebay. One was sold 7 years ago and the other was sold 2 years ago. Gents: Good luck, No Reserve. David:) :) :) |

1. None of the KMP***'less masses working for David can afford this auction. (We've made it quite clear in employee meetings: If you bid, you're a buyer just like anybody else. If an employee bids and can't buy, he's fired. Period.) 2. I know who he is. He's real. Steve Kirkham |
What's all the talk about OLS for? The big dogs have yet to eat!:3DSMILE:

Re:
Gents, I know Onlinesurfer is legit! I competed against him in your recent 289 FIA Hybrid auction (we both lost). For some reason I thought you (David) mentioned in our last telephone conversation that Steve knew him and he was from Provo. If you recall, I kidded that he probably worked for Steve (you)! Anyhow, you guys have an awesome product and I will own one...sooner or later!

Bluedog,
Thanks for the kind words. We have had a gent from Provo bid on our cars. There are a substantial number of potential customers here in Provo. (Road and Track in July had an Enzo on the cover. The owner lives just down the hill from me.) There are more car nuts than I can belive here. The gentleman I was referring to doesn't work for us, but I do know him. Hey, he was looking for a good deal--like most of us. Hope to see you in one of our cars soon, David :) :) :) |
I won't be sniping (my rifle won't shoot that far), but I'll certainly be looking down the scope at 10:30 to see who makes the kill. :D :D
Go Atlanta members! Go Atlanta members! Go Atlanta members! (It's about the only chance I would have of seeing it in person.) |
I dropped out of the bidding in the 40's, on page ONE of this thread, with 9 days left to go! At that time I said it was headed for the high 50's to 60's. It STILL could easily reach the 60's! Won't surprise me!

I would never for one second ever feel I was bidding against anything underhanded on these auctions. The finest thing to watch is that all of us, want a deal, and the market pricing has been very stable on these. The men in Provo also do a great job of mixing up the auctions so there is something for everybody.
TC, still longing for a Hybrid at a great price. |
holy cow
$59,500 with 42 minutes to go....it's the last minute that counts, who's watching football?

Well said grashopper, TC re-reading conditions of sale. :)

Looks like Mr. Harley was afraid that $60,500 would win. He must have bid 60,499 and that bumped onlinesurfer upto that. OLS must have bid higher earlier.

Man,,,this is intense,,,were down to 8 minutes......
count the heart beats, control the breathing, squeeze the trigger.......... Ernie Bravo BRAVO!!!! Shots fired in the last minute, but OLS pulls it out!!! Congratulations!!! What a show those Kirkham boys put on!!! :D :D :D |
$60,899. That's a heck of a deal. Congrats OLS!
