Default Help needed Backdraft Racing AC Cobra

I live in Portland Oreogn and looking to buy a turn key car from Backdraft. I want to know if any one has good or bad things to say regarding there cars. I am looking at the 302 engine vs the 351 and need some help. Is there a differant manf. that I should be looking at? Want to keep the price around $36K
Any thoughts?

Doug - The Backdraft Cobra is a turn-key minus Cobra, which means it comes completely assembled except for the engine and transmission. You will have to install those, or pay someone else to do it for you. From what I know of their pricing, it should be within your budget. There are others such as Superformance and Unique that make similar kits, but they are somewhat more expensive. One big difference between Backdraft and other Cobras is that Backdraft uses BMW suspension parts and rear ends, which is not to say that is a drawback, it's just different from what most other manufacturers use. There are many Backdraft owners on this forum who will respond to your post to tell you about Backdraft. I don't believe I have ever heard of an unhappy Backdraft owner, so I'm sure you will get many positive responses very soon.

Hi Doug: If you have any questions regarding the Backdraft cars, I'll be happy to answer them.

Turn-Key-Minus cars start at $25,900
Completed cars start at about $32,900 w/ 270 HP.
As in any vehicle, options and HP will be the determining factor in the total price of you vehicle.

Boudy

Doug, we spoke via e-mail already. I have a low ball offer currently for my Backdraft and if your interested I'll get down to the 35K range.

Question

Now that some of you have had these cars a while, how would you describe the handling and ride as compared to the other offerings?
