Doug, us SC folks did ok with this one, i was up at the Olhtoff's when the edge went thru, rainy there, but we were ok. But sure sounds nasty further up the coast, in NC and VA.

Mother Nature can be a cruel host sometimes.

The flood waters came within 2 feet of my garage where I'm building my Cobra. Since my Cobra is not running yet and the engine is still sitting on an engine stand in the corner, I had no choice but to wait and pray. I did spend a little time calculating how high the water could get before it actually did any damage to the chassis and suspension. Fortunately the waters receded and I was able to relax a little. Other people in my area lost their houses, cars and piers.

Man fron what my local news was saying, we almost lost all of VA and surrounding areas. They were making it sound like the workst storm ever. Does everybody have power back yet?

Northern NJ faired exceptionally well, lots of rain, minor street flooding, and a few tree limbs down, but nothing like Virginia or the Carolinas.....Pretty much a non event here.

Pretty lucky at my house. We only lost power for 4-5 hours. I babysat a 12V bilge pump (no power = no sump pump) by candle-light, but that was the extent of it. Some debris and crap to clean up, but it's minor.

Lots of folks in our area still without power & water.

Northeastern N. C. caught the NE corner of the storm and was pounded pretty hard, the outer banks was really slamed hard especially the southern area of Hatteras island , some areas were wiped clean ! New inlet was also opened in Hatteras. If this was a 2 , I'll bug out the next time. No power at home but at my store everything's OK .

We've been cranking OT to get connectors out the door to get em up and running. It's not always good being in the business fueled by disasters but we do what we can. The weather is amazing how it tears up a strip and the guy down the street doesn't even see it!

Unhappy

The storm was increditable, I live right on the Chesapeake bay, saw many interesting things go by, storm surge was 7 feet above normal, we are told not to expect power for three weeks, I hope they move faster, all in all we did better then most. alot of trees in houses in the neighborhood.

Seen worst storms but this was a very long one in duration. No more this year please.

Holy moly, it's the stuff I saw AFTER the first 24 hours or so that's been so incredible. Glad y'all are OK (those that can get to a pc, I guess).

We lost power for 3 days and 1 and 1/2 trees fell in the back yard. Luckily, the trees only wiped out part of the back fence and not the garage (and not the house; my wife says). I had my partially complete Cobra up on blocks in case of flash flooding and parked very near my boat in the garage in case other bigger trees fell. The neighborhood streets are piled full of debris and tree limbs ready for garbage pickup. Gas stations with power and ice were in very short supply throughout the weekend. many long lines at hardware and grocery stores.

I consider myself very lucky. Others did not fair so well....
