Oct 4 Sandwich Factory Lunch Ventura, CA MOVED
The Sandwich Factory will not be open anymore on Saturdays.
We are moving the lunch to Hudsons on Telephone Road which is actually closer to the freeway. They are reserving the outside patio and are roping off the parking lot for us. I will post directions later.

Time will still be the same 11:30am.

I take it Hudson's is WEST of the Sandwich Factory? What are the directions to Hudson's from the Sandwich Factory?

 Edley
Its basically the same as before. When you cross under the freeway, its only a 100 yards or so down Telephone

The location of the Hudson’s Grill in Ventura is:

If you are Northbound on the 101, get off on Telephone Road.

Cross under the freeway and go to second light. Hudson’s is on the left side at the second light.

If you are Southbound on the 101, get off on Telephone which actually puts you on Main Street.

Make a left and go to Telephone and make a right on Telephone. Hudson’s is on the left at the next signal.

Time is 11:30 give or take - bring the wife - food is good
Cruise is planned

John!Looking forward to new location. Hopefully we will get a good showing. I have missed the last two and really am looking forward to this one. Also am interested in knowing how many are planning on going to Willow Springs for track time the end of October. I have already sent in the $.

 John,
I will try to make it with the Cobra but worst case, I will be there anyway. I am taking the bottom end down because I think I hear a noise - Oh Well!

 John,
Count on 3 more. My brother and I will be there as well as Bill (VENOM S) with his recently completed 503 ci FFR.

Bob W, Pretty sure Willow is a go for us.

 John,
I think we can make it.

 Bob,

What are the safety requirements for the track?

 Gentlemen,
I would like to attend the Oct 4 get-together. Does anyone know if there will be any ERAs, particularly any 289 FIAs at the gathering? I currently do not own any of these cars and still in the research/savings phase.
Thanks in advance for any answers. |

At the last meet there were at least two ERA's. The beautiful black 427 and a new blue slabside. It was a great day!

I plan to be there but my ERA FIA is still under construction & won't be attending. I know "Slide" was talking about taking his car in for paint but don't know if he has yet so he may or may not be a poss... I know there are at least 2 other ERA FIA's that have attended in the past. (I only know this from pictures, of course ) Where are you located in SoCal?

Paul!Pretty minimal. I will quote the entry app.
Good brakes and tires, no leaks, battery fastened down, wheels on tight, two throttle return springs, no loose junk in the trunk or back seat, current helmet (preferably a car vs motorcycle, fire resistent), seat belts (lap belts are okay) and fire extinguisher mounted with a metal bracket. . Eligible cars are Cobras, Cobra replicas, Shelbys, Tigers (Ford powered), early Mustangs (pre-1980) and most ford powered racecars. Any ? call Lynn Park @ 818 248-7446 or 818 790-0289. It's a great time with 3-different levels of racing and everyone is very safe and no egos.

Rallysnake,You mentioned there was a slabside ERA at the last meet. I did not know ERA made slabsides. I thought they manufacture 427 and 289 fia flared cars (and the GT40).
 Tongue Pirate,
I live in Tousand Oaks. I spoke with Steve Dickey a couple of months ago about his beautiful black ERA 427. I wonder if he will be there. I might give him a call again.
Anyway, I have decided to go. I need to learn as much as I can before I make the final plunge.
 Regards,
 Michael K.

Rallysnake must have been refering to an ERA FIA car, or possibly a slabside by someone else?

 John-
I spoke with two friends who have indicated an interest in going. One has an FFR, and the other has an original mid '80's AC Mark IV (no roll bar, under car exhaust).
