Tricky stuff! Will they match your headers? THAT is the question!
C.R. side pipes would be to long? FFR headers have an unusual shape, so might not fit "standard" side pipes. One approach is to buy both headers and sidepipes, but no gaurentee either item will fit YOUR Cobra.

Search carefully, measure three times, hope you get "lucky".

Yes I know, I am looking for names of mfg. that make these, and I will ship my pipes to them to match to if they can.
 thanks for the reply.

I bought my mufflers from Stainless Steel Specialties and built my sidepipes. Welding is FUN! They also make complete side pipes. You can find their ad in Kit Car Magazine.

				 HEADERS & SIDEPIPES
WE HAVE TWO E-M IN THE AREA. BOTH ARE LOOKING FOR HEADERS. THEY HAVE BOUGHT FFR SIDEPIPES. PARRIH IS GOING TO GET A SHOP IN ATHENS, ALA TO CUSTOM MAKE HIS HEADERS FOR $550. THEY HAVE ORDER HEADERS AND SIDEPIPES BUT HAD TO SEND THEM BACK BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FIT. IT NOT EASY TO FIND SUBSTITUTES.

 RallySnake,
Did you purchase the Stainless Steel Mufflers? If so, did you use Stainless steel tubing to go back to the flange that attaches to the headers? Do the mufflers include the turn out? My headers are fine (for a Boss 351 Cleveland) and just need the sidepipes from the flange at the headers on out. I'm sorry for sooo many questions but you know how I feel about my snake...

 Thanks
 Bill

Tubular Automotive used to make them for Contemporary, ERA, E-M, and a bunch of other replicas.
 Tubular Automotive
 248 Weymouth Street
 Rockland, Mass. 02370

I am not sure if the above number is still valid as I have not ordered from them in about 5 years. I think Cobra Restorers in Georgia used to have all kinds of sidepipes and headers, most likely manufactured by Tubular as they made headers for about any hi-po engine going back to the early 283 Chevy and 289 Fords. Good luck.

 wtcobra,
I called and got a message that I had reached a ladies extension. I left a message but doubt it is Tubular Automotive. I also sent an E-Mail to Cobra Restorers and hopefully they will reply with the answer to my problem.

thanks to all who have helped so far, & Keep'm coming.

Looks as if they have changed the area code number. Wayne Turpin |
