headlight protection

I have seen several cobras with what I think are stainless wire headlight propectors. Anyone know where they come from?

You can get these headlight protectors in black, or chrome from most parts chains (Track, Pep Boys, etc.), and from J. C. Whitney. They're about $10 a pair and keep rocks from destroying your expensive aftermarket Cibie, Hella, or Marchal e-code halogen headlights. And they look cool too.
