I guess you bring something out in me.....touch a nerve .....something - I don't know what! But........the "guy in question" that is advertising his car on Ebay has it listed under "Shelby" because: #1 Ebay has a short-cut to "Shelby" which makes it easier for people to find his car. #2 Most people in this country, when seeing one of these autos (no matter who made it) will call it a "Shelby Cobra, or an "AC Cobra". There is no short-cut on Ebay for "AC". There is no short cut on Ebay for "Superformance" or "Kit Car" either. So, this is just good advertising on his part.
Plus, you said the guy went one step further by describing the car as a Shelby Cobra in the body of his ad. That wasn't exactly true. The ENTIRE body of the ad reads: SHELBY COBRA SUPERFORMANCE 2002 *NEW*. ............You left out "Superformance" on your post (intentionally? nah!) He CLEARLY refers to it as a Superformance in his ad. .....You call this "cozeying up to Shelby"? I think not!
