Provided your engine can handle the added fun, just get a kit!.
Forged pistons, balanced assembly with premium fastners is a must!
Four bolt mains with a high pressure oil pump would be highly recomended.
I think it is over kill. Most cobras weigh in between 2000 and 2400 pounds and a one HP per cubic inch engine is more than enough for the street.
