Default Gas Station Conversation

While gassing up this morning a lady about 60 came over. She asked me how I liked driving the car. She, went on to say that in her youth her boyfriend had one. She loved the boy and just tolerated the car.

She said they were scheduled to get married so he sold the car to help pay for the wedding. Well, she says they never got married, but they remained friends over the years. He recently passed. Seeing my car brought back a flood of memories for her.

She asked if she could sit in the car and I said sure. She got in and sat for a few minutes, calmy got out hugged me and left. There were tears in her eyes.

Mike

Mikie,
You were a gentleman, totally out of character for a Gashole, but highly commendable. Did you get her phone number for Turk or Pat?

Hi. My name is John, and I'm a Cobrahaulic. Thanks for sharing that. A Cobra is not an ordinary car. Stories like this just go to show how un-ordinary they are.

Hi,
I had a similar thing happen last spring. I was gassing up the cobra and 2 ladies pulled in behind me . The elderly passenger got out and came over to look at the cobra. She was about 70, white hair, quite British. Asked me if it was a Jaguar, her husband had a mid 50's Jag and it reminded her of those days driving the narrow rural roads N of London. I was happy to talk to her about her earlier days!
These cars must be timeless.
Perry.

If this happened in Cleveland, it would be grounds for marriage!
In Parma, it just would have meant another pair of white sox!

In Parma it would have meant another pair of NEW white sox!
Truly an occasion to celebrate...

al

and don't knock those seventy year olds... They just might be low mileage, as if that made a difference
When I'm seventy I'll probably be looking for some hot sixtyfive year old.
