I really don't see your continuous line of provocative statement-questions going anywhere of value. If you're truly interested, might I suggest you contact Brent F. and see if you can get re-looped? Everyone has previously posted their speculative thoughts on all of this recently. If you're interested in such speculation, a search might be helpful.

Deacon ,
I'm not all that bothered by your line of questions ....but you do seem to have a knack for asking all the hot ones that nobody else has been able to answer with any real detail......
so, are you stirring ,as has been implied ....or is there something you really want to know...??
btw, An AC would probably be most of our preference...times change......a Cav ought to be as good as an spf....no?

IfI'd had this guy as a clinical subject for the study of passive-aggressive behavior when I was a psych student, my grade would've been way better.

Why do I get the idea that this Deacon fellow is sitting in the Nevada State prison and he's pissed about Shelby not making the glass Cobras there anymore?
Deacon. it sounds to me like you got som kinda hidden agenda for Shelby. or you like to troll forums and stir the pot. If this is true then get it out of your system and go away.
Shelby is just another player in the world of cars. So far as we know they are a company that is still around because they have customers that like what they sell. If you don't like what they offer then look else where. What Shelby does and how they do it is none of your concern. They only have to answer to customers not Trolls or prisoners.

Hey Guys...
I do love a good soup, but I do not like to stir, just let it do all the work. If you all want to get up in arms over a few geniunely asked questions, then be my guest. I was just looking for some real answers, a bit of conversation, and insight into the world that is now Shelby.
(Why do I get the idea that this Deacon fellow is sitting in the Nevada State prison and he's pissed about Shelby not making the glass Cobras there anymore?

Hey BT Snake, so they don't make glass cobras at the prison anymore, huh? Did not know that, but stands to reason. As far as what is my concern and what is not, that is for me to decide and not you, ok... All I can tell you is that when you invest in something, you usually want to see what is best for it..right? No hidden agenda...no smoke and mirrors...not subplot here...just want to know what is happening. If you all have some answers, then by all means let me know.
thanks

OK, I have tried to stay out of it, But you guys sucked me back in. I sent Brent a personal note but he does not respond to his e-mail.
Since I am one of the 50 individuals with there ass hanging out in the open. Here is what I know from good sources.
The quality issues were address a few months ago at a meeting in Vegas. They had a list of about 50 items that needed to be corrected.
Someone already hit on some of the true issues as I understand it, The Ran lost value against the US dollar and the profit magin building Cobras for Shelby American has dropped to a very low magin. Now they have fewer people working on building these Cobra's at CAV. I was also informed that one of the lead engineers is no longer working there. I was told that they would be shipping 6 cars over in January. I am number 16 and was originally told that my car would be here in December by Bob Marsh. Now I am told that March is a more realistic time frame. Guys let me just say that it sucks. But what sucks most is the communication process is so poor and they do not appear to be doing anything to correct it. When I get the chance I plan to have a long talk with Carroll.

RedCSX,
A small point although you understand the result, the Ran gained against the Dollar not lost, that's why the cost increase. The Dollar can't buy the same amount now. If it had lost value, everyone that produces there would be dropping prices.

Come on guys, we need to bring this to a close -
Deacon is the former controller of Shelby and knows very well the answer to most of the questions he has posted and he also knows dozens of people at Shelby to whom he could address any question he might not know the answer to.
This is just stirring the pot, and frankly I am surprised it would come from a former employee. The company was in no way unfair to him, and I for one have been of assistance in the facilitating of paperwork requested by his subsequent employer.
Deacon, why don't you give me a call, it would be nice to talk to you and see how things are going.
