Merry Christmas to AOL members. Grrrr. :)

Here's the mail I sent to members at CC today, although of course, AOL members didn't get the message...Tried to use yahoo to send out the mail to them, and you can only send like 15 at a time, and then of course I hit the hourly limit after sending two batches....There's over 1400 AOL members here, and I figured this would be the best way to share. I hate AOL by the way!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

Well, here it is Christmas and the end of another fine year. Club Cobra membership has continued to grow, which speaks clearly to just how popular these creations are. From mild to wild, small block to big block, quiet to loud, be assured that if you build it, they will come. They being all the great people you’ll meet, learn from, share with, and ultimately pull into your inner circle of friends. Whether you own one or it’s in your plans, you have met people you would not have if it weren’t for this common passion.

Here’s a new years resolution to add to YOUR list…Attend as many social gatherings I can this year. Such as DVSF, Run & Gun, the huge event the Texan’s put on, hooking up with your friends at a show, a track, or for a cruise. Just get out there and get involved, as I have been constantly reminded that the best thing about being a Cobra enthusiast is our friends, and you’ve got a lot of them.

On a different note, can you believe Club Cobra is now five years old? Where has the time gone? It’s been a fun and challenging journey to say the least. Thank you.

In closing, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanks for all the time and work you put into making this club work. I think it is the greatest and I have to agree with you about AOL. That is one of my New Years resolutions is to get a DSL connection when they become available in this area. You have a Merry Christmas and Happy New year and don't sweat the AOL thing.

The secret to downloading with AOL is to do it one line at a time. Whole pages at a time. You must love to suffer.

it appears that even that timewarner roadrunner customers fall into the same boat as AOL for the block on CC email. as i didn't receive the msg either. yet another problem with the AOL/Timearner merge

At this point, I'd say flood those AO holes with calls.

As for RR, as of this morning, AOL support claims they don't service the RR stuff, so does anyone have a tech or postmaster # for them?

Right now on the welcome screen when you sign on AOL has a link to tell them what you think of their service. I just told them and included the ticket number in the message. I put, " I and over 1,400 other members want to know when AOL is going to fix the block of all e-mails from Club Cobra which has been on going for over 2 weeks with no response from AOL on ticket # 612730. This has caused a lot of inconvenience and also some people have lost money because of not getting an e-mail. I then signed my full name and screen name with ( for now ) following it.

Well, some movement it appears. Just called them and someone has at least looked at it. They said that the mail was not "blocked", but is being "filtered". They said they would be contacting me tomorrow....We'll see.
