The nice fella at the BAR station has a book and computer data base that he uses to show you what was required on that old engine of yours. He stood over my engine and said, "lose the mechanical advance distributor". "Put a Ford MotorSport (NAPA) 4 barrel in place of that nice zinc plated Holly". "Drive it in here at
8 degrees advanced". I did it. He got off on the "GOD" thing. Everyone was happy. I even brought do-nuts.
So my advice to anyone approaching that dream threshhold of actually seeing a questionable goal become a reality.... Put a 69' or older engine in your dream car.
Definition:
Engine = liquid means. I.E., gas, JP5, diesel etc.
Motor = solid means for propulsion. Can't throttle down. Ignites and goes baby!
I am working on a smog approved solid fuel motor for the cobra.
