They are "ET's" another similar but less popular brand.

Just because I'm an old coot and remember when everybody had to have mag wheels or they weren't cool, I would add that there were two companies who made the "real thing" from magnesium. Halibrand and American Racing.

Halibrand still does and I don't know about American Racing.

The wheel you have isn't a bad looking mag at all and aluminum is a lot easier to take care of than magnesium.

Go to www.halibrand.com to see the father of mag wheels.

This also applies to those who want original wheels for their Cobras. Halibrand still makes them to order.

While taking nothing away from Lynn Parks and his Trigos, there are differences that are very obvious if you know what to look for.

Don't think actual mags are street legal any more. They burn too easy and DOT outlawed them, or so I have been told.

If you like that wheel check out Vintage Wheel Works in Whittier, CA. I don't have a link handy, but I saw the wheels at their factory and have ordered a set in 17" for my build.

Yes. The V40 (my choice) has a straight-cut spoke, as opposed to the "D" shaped spoke of the V45 and American's Torque D. To me it looks more 50's/60's than the D's. As to how this will look on a Cobra I'll Know in a week or so.

Bill,
I'd like some pics too--or post them here. I have a 289 FIA that I was considering putting on ARE Torq-Thrust D's, but I like the look of the V-40 also--
You going to add spinner type center caps?

I have ordered two 17x8" V40's for the front of my Unique. I'll bolt them on the back to try to determine if a 17x11" will fit there. If not I'll go with a 17x9.5. I posted some questions about 17" wheels and Uniques some time ago here and on the Unique Forum but was not able to determine if the 315/35/17 Goodyears I want will fit. At any rate, they (the tires) were not available for a few months, so pictures will be a while coming.
