Lightbulb 2005 Mustang LX wheels on a Cobra

Whaddya think about putting the 2005 Mustang LX's 16" knock-off style wheels on a cobra? I know 15"s are traditional and 17"s give greater handling... If Ford mass produces a replica 16", would you go with 16"s to get the look/performance combo? (assuming they fit)

For the price Ford Peformance would want for those wheels you could purchase more "period" correct in 16-18" from Compomotive, PS Engineering or another mfg and save a few $$$, IMO. FoMoCO gets a little "proud" pricewise of their aftermarket products, as do must auto companys.

I always considered Ford's prices on wheels to be not too bad. Cobra R's aren't that high price, neither are the Bullits.

If you buy a normal stock wheel from a dealer it can get quite expensive.

I'll bet you can get those as takeoffs when the car comes out for less than $1000 with new tires.
