Default oil filter for 351 408 roller

hi every one, i need to know which oil filter
is the best for a351w 500 hp stroker.
local stores around here carry fram,stp,etc.
what is wix is that a brand name?
the other brand is motorcraft any good?

Yes Wix is a major brand, they are an OEM manufacturer and they also make a racing filter.Wix filters are popular with the Nascar teams.

the Motorcraft FL1HP, an EXCELLENT filter. Make sure it is the HP model. A very ggod rated filter with extra thick base plate and more thread surface than most filters. the case is very heavy. You will see the difference as soon as you pick it up.

I aggree with Mark IV, the Motorcraft FL1HP is the way to go. Don't buy the cheap filters at Walmart. It's not worth it.

FYI Guys pretty sure the Motorcraft is made by WIX

Ooops my mistake Motorcraft is made by Purolater. Here is good info on all the oil filters.

thanks guys! im going with wix and 10w30 castrol gtx.
the engine was broke in with castrol .do you guys think that
mobile1 one would be a better choice?
