If You Didn't Have a Cobra.....
If you didnt have a Cobra, and you were to put the same amount of money on ANOTHER vehicle, what would it be? Early-model Corvette? Viper? Hot-rodded '55 T-Bird? Pre-WWII Hot rod? Post-WWII Hot Rod? Something from Europe, or even Asia? Maybe a GT-40 replica? What would YOU have?

Chipped Porsche 944Turbo
Had one lost it, need to pick up another one one of these days.........
50/50 weight distribution. Turbocharged, Intercooled 150 CuIn 4 Cly capable of 325 HP with a chip. Absolutely voracious at the top end. They just keep getting stronger till the rev limiter hits at about 6750. I did 165 in mine on several occasions. At 100 MPH the car squats down and the cockpit gets quiet. And you can hear the engine wake up. It wants to be fed. More air. More petrol. I got 3 MPG at BIR. Those four cylinders are capable of burning lots of fuel. A truly amazing vehicle. The Cobra is a riot, but a totally different world. At about 90 MPH, I'm scared shytless and just want the thing to stay on the road........ I must be getting old........ |
it would be
my daily driver... :D A 00' 328i..if I had it my way I'd have a Cobra and take the bus on bad days but the wife will have none of it.

One for sale right here in Honolulu as a matter of fact! Been in the paper for about a month (which surprises me). Asking $10K, I haven't seen the car or called the guy. NICE ride, but just not my cup of tea.
