Thanks to all for your suggestions and opinions.

I received some more information on the car today.

The engine is indeed a 400 small block Chevy. Does anyone know the stock hP and torque on that?

The model is a 2000 replica of a 1967 425 Cobra.

Tomorrow I have a seat reserved on Aeropostal and am flying to the city Valencia where the car is to see it in the morning and flying back to where I am staying in the evening. I have to put a 10% deposit ($500) on the car to hold it. I plan to complete the sale in the coming weeks when I figure out the best way to get it into the U.S. That is, if I like the car.

It looks like it needs a better paint job too, I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Any last minute suggestions on what to look for?
