Default Calling Computerworks!

Computer,
Just noticed a photo of #3049 in your gallery. I'm interested in the finish on this car's Halibrands. I assume it's the "natural" finish that comes from oxidation. Can you shed some light on whether this is the actual finish or if these wheels are painted or coated in any way? Also, how to maintain them in this state? Very tired of polishing my mag Halibrand's but hate the thought of "letting them go". Any other members have thoughts?
Many thanks,

Chas
I'd be more than happy to trade you a brand new set of polished Trigo's for those nasty Halibrands.

Here's a link to polishing your mags.

I spoke with the owner of 3049...the mags were a pain to keep up...they would oxidize shortly after a polish-up.
He finally just sprayed them with a cold-zinc-kind of paint...what you would use on outdoor metal.

Oh...and, by the way...if you don't take up ST on his offer...remember that shipping will be less to me.

(we both have this thing for tarnished wheels.....don't ask)

Boys,
Thanks so much for the info and great link, but I'm thinking I'm gonna put the 'Brands out for the trash and get a nice, shiney set of 22's. The kind where the center still spins after the wheel stops..
Gotta love 'em.

Chas,

Give 'em to me. I got 'em all beat. Shipping will be free. I'll even pay to have 'em packed.
