Thanks for following up on this. I see from your pictures that you're not afraid to venture onto a racetrack. The 215 seems like a very narrow tire. When faced with the same size choice, I put 275/60/15's on all four rims. My front rims are 8.5 inches wide.

Could you post a picture of your car with the tires?
