Default Lurker - now owner/builder...

I've been lurking here for awhile. Lots of enthusiasts here for sure. Thought I'd share my story here too!

I picked up FFR 4975k yesterday!! What an amazing feeling, seeing it for the first time. I almost forgot how much better these things look in the flesh! I had Stewart Transport take care of the shipping, but there were some problems on thier end, trying to get across the border. I won't get into it, but Stewart did a fine job otherwise! I ended up having to rent a U-Haul truck, the 17' version, and we managed to get the car in without much of a problem, 3 of us. Drove through the border, had my paperwork done, and an hour later (without them even looking inside the truck!!) I was on my way! Once I got home, my buddy helped me remove the body and all the boxes and move them inside, no problems there. Getting the frame inside is another story. I had to call up 3 more people, and we carried it out and put it onto jackstands! Man it was heavy!

Backorder list is ok, sidepipes, seats, roll bar, dash padding, 2 shocks, and some other minor things. Frame looks good, not much slag at all, few scratches in the paint. What kind of paint should I get to cover these up? I'm not going to powdercoat it. Too much $$ and hassle just to be covered up by the body.

The body seams look good, no holes or gaps, just seams. Have to do a search see how I get started on sanding it down.

Anyhow, I'm so excited. Inventory to do, and begin on the panels!

Couple shots of the car coming out of the U-Haul, and me inside:

Some random in-garage shots of the car and frame!:
