Gas smell in trunk
Okay ya'll, here goes. Got this gas smell in the trunk area of my A & C. I removed all lines and retightened again, and the problem hasn't abated.
filler hose is gasoline approved. What am I doing or not doing wrong/right.

Check your overflow hose as well as the inlet gasket below your tanks sending unit.

On my car, where the gas went into the tank on the top, that seal was leaking.
Do you notice the smell ALL the time? Or just when the tank is full and sloshing?
I found a small "seepage" that only occurred when filling at a station. Have someone fill the tank while you are looking at the tank and filler neck area.
Good time to quit smoking, if you are a smoker!

thanks for the replies.
I found the problem. Some of the bolts connecting the goose neck to the fuel cell were loose. Tightened them up .. problem solved.
