How do you clean visors and wind wings?
How do you clean and what do you use to clean the plexiglass sun visors and wind wings without scratching or marring the surface with chemicals.
Thanks
Shin

Plain water and a soft cloth, like an old towel or T-shirt. Dont scrub the plastic!

I use plexy glass cleaner that you can get at Orchard supply. I use it on all plastics, even moto goggles. Yellow can with a blue top. Works great.

I use Island Girl. Formulated for the boating industry. Best product I've ever used for plexiglass, lexan, or plastic, clear or tinted. Will even clear up some faded plexiglass.

Buy new ones when they are scratched beyond repair.

I use Mother's polish and swirl remover. It works great and makes the plastic look like new! I came across this stuff while polishing my Miata a couple years ago when I accidently splashed some of the polish onto the rear plastic window. When I wiped it off, it took all my scratches off too. Try it. I've used it on my Cobra and it made the side wings look better than new.

Thanks guys. I'm entered in the Beverly Hills car show this Sunday. Tough show with many Pebble Beach contenders, so I have no idea what will happen. At least my plexiglass will shine.

GR is dead on as well Zoom! If you have a marine supply house close buy use it, if not use any quality automotive paste wax (non-abrasive please), let it dry completely, then wipe off. You will like it!
Good luck speedeamon!

I just use the wet paint and then wipe it off with a soft cloth not rubbing hard. I have had mine on since 1998 and not a single scratch. The wet paint causes the bugs to sort of splatter and slide as the commit suicide and there really isn't a lot left to do.
