Default Owners of half polished Team III's ?

Hello, if anyone has photo's of their half, polished Team III wheels on their cobra, please post them, e-mail them to me or direct me to your gallery. I'm trying to decide between them or keeping my Torque thrust "D" wheels ? Any opinions are welcome. One good thing about the "D"s are, I haven't seen any yet....on a cobra. They weren't used on cobras but, are "period correct", Mustangs ect.. anyway. You can view my gallery to see the "D"s on my car. What do you guys think ?
Thanks

Kevin,
Tough call. The torque thrust D's look good.( I went to your gallery for a beter pic.) I remember those wheels as being THE wheel to have on your muscle car and they were a top choice for me when I was putting my cobra together. I wound up with 5 bolt Hallibrands with pollished rims and the inner part brushed.
For my taste the team III's have to much "Chrome".
Of the 2 styles my vote is for the Torque Thrust's
But it's your car. Do what makes you happy

Kevin,
I would vote for the Torque Thrust D's. That's what I wanted for my car but American Racing couldn't custom make them with the offset that I need for my car. I had to go to Torque Thrust II's with painted centers. I haven't seen them, as they haven't come in yet! I'm going to visit the shop this Thursday and they should have the new wheels and tires on by then.
I like the D's. They are period correct. They are a classic just like the Cobra.
I used to have a '66 Corvette with a set of Torque Thrust D's.

I really like the "D"s. I guess I miss the spinners. If I keep them, I'll polish the outer rim, should look cool like chrome. I know we can order a custom off-set for $50 per wheel. With a new 10" wheel I'll need apx. 4" to 4-1/2" back spacing. I have 3-3/4" now. I'll call & see.
Thanks guys !

I have Team III's but only the outer rim is polished. The "spokes" are flat but I did polish the spinners myself.

Same here. I like the look, but that is all that matters. Whatever you like, go with it!

Team III, same as Wayne and Cowtown. Polished spinners. Flat spokes are easier to keep clean.

They do look great guys !
Update on the "D"s.....no choise on back settings, 3-3/4" or nothing. So...it means different wheels. I have looked at a company that makes Torque Thrust look a likes, a more up to date version. If I can find them again, I'll post their name & maybe a pic.

The Co. is called Vintage Wheel Works. (www.vintagewheelworks.com)

Several sizes & off-sets and a few different caps, even spinners. They also have customer cars photo's. Please take a look when you have time & give me your thoughts.

Just called Vintage, in the "45" series wheels (thrust D look a like) they only make 6",7" & 8" wheels, no 15x10"s. But do in the 17"

Look's like it's Team III for my new wheels. I've looked up past posts here on CC, seems like it takes a long time to recieve your wheels & spinners ? Other than buying from Team III, is their any other business that would be cheaper and get the wheels faster ?

Thank you.
