Default JBL door latch - From?

Anybody know where JBL gets their door latch assembly. It's very clean and I'm thinking about using them if I can get my hands on a set.

DaveR,

Best to call Dave at JBL. 760-728-2293.

He could certainly supply you with a set of latches.

Found it. Only took me 10 years. To memorialize here for others who are searching for a more secure door latch:

OT but Richard, can you tell us what 'JBL' actually stands for?

ERA Chas,

JBL were the initials of the gentlemen that put together the company to continue the manufacture of the LWB chassis that I had originally designed for PMS. (They only made a couple of cars if I recall correctly.)

Note: The first chassis of this type that was built was a SWB design that was contracted and built by SC Motorcars. This car won the "Best Engineering" award at the Run & Gun in 1993 or 1994 (Not sure of the year but it was the same year that Superformance introduced their car at the event in Phoenix) and this was the car that Motor Trend tested in Pomona.

Some day the story and history of this design/build should be published. The many people involved and their histories are quite interesting.

All told, it was a very unlikely creation indeed.
