How would you like to see this in your rear view mirror! They aren't messing around.

Police Lambo

David:eek:

Looks like a challenge to me.

bummer

LwCwb 05-15-2004 05:34 AM

  I hope they arent planning on doing that in America!

Chris Hitch 05-15-2004 06:46 AM

The Lambo was donated by the company to the police and Lambo is owned by VW...a German company. I don't think it is likely that VW or Lambo is going to donate one to us stateside...but if David starts donating Kirkham's to the cops, I'm gonna be mad!

Chris

LwCwb 05-15-2004 08:02 AM

That would be even SCARIER!:D

Doug I 05-15-2004 08:31 AM

Now there's an idea for a paint-job ..... :)

Ron61 05-15-2004 08:37 AM

Not nearly as fast or impressive, but the CHP up here is now using a white unmarked Camero and that car is stopping three times the amount of trucks and cars that the others are. Look in the rearview mirror and you just see a plain white Camero until the portable redlight comes on. There is a small CHP emblem on the doors, which are really hard to see when he is behind you.

Here's my police cruiser! Too bad it's not street legal. We have to run it at the local track.

I think we should outfit all traffic cops in the USA

With mountain bikes and super soakers

Seriously, what's to keep creeps like the Hillside stranglers from using any car with a "cop light" on the dash, to pull over and kidnap, rape and murder girls.. as the Hillside stranglers did in the late 70's? The Camaro/Ferrari,... bad idea.. all traffic units should be clearly marked and uniquely "cop" for this reason alone. My wife has been taught NOT to pull over for an unmarked. Period.
I will, but then I pack heat and I'll use it if it's some car-jack attempt, etc..

Turk 05-15-2004 09:39 AM

Back in Back.

"pack heat".
Back problems?

petek 05-15-2004 09:45 AM

Turk,

Perhaps a female dachshund in menses?

REAL 1 05-15-2004 09:54 AM

Don't you need a license to pack heat? Hmmm.

I have CCP's for several states

However the entire concept of having to get a lisc for a constitutional right is, well, unconstitutional. If I could not get a permit you can bet your bottom dollar I would carry anyway. My life and the safety of my loved ones is more important than ANY law. I feel sorry for those who don't have this basic potty training 101!

In Washington state I can carry any loaded handguns or even 3 if I want, and I carry a mini 14 .223 with loaded clips (not inserted in the gun ) in the lockbox of my 4 x 4.. all "legal" here.

Most police cars in Hawaii are unmarked. Their private vehicles purchased the policeman who receives a monthly stipend for the car.

The "Blue" lights are removable or portable, as the individual case may be.

How to spot a Hawaii unmarked police car:
It's usually some top end high performance ride. Mustang Cobra, Camaro SS, etc. Never seen a Vette though, I think it has to "seat four". Don't even think about "challenging" such a car on the streets around here. They WILL suck you into a "race" and bust you for it.

CSX 4039 05-15-2004 11:39 AM

Just wondering..
What would be the point of a high speed chase on an island that is 40 miles end to end, and surrounded by 3000 miles of ocean?:3DSMILE:

Doug Axelrod 05-15-2004 12:41 PM

ask NASCAR...
:D

Excaliber 05-15-2004 01:01 PM

CSX4039,,,, good point! And a high speed chase is,,,, well, I don't recall we ever had one now that I think about it. :D

We DO have about 800 car thefts a year, which also leaves me baffled. WHERE are people hiding these cars?

Mestizo 05-15-2004 07:52 PM

Cops in Lamborghinis, Gun Rights, Cobras...Yo!

Yo Bubba in Black...We 're all on your side, Dude, but let's not focus on our fellow gunslingers....its the boys in Washington who need to hear about your concern for privacy etc. Where are the Jeffersonian Democrats now that we need them?? (you know the guys who like gun rights, cobras, the regular folks, equality, transparancy, and no deficits???) We can kick ass and have fun too like we always have you know.:3DSMILE:

cobrashoch 05-16-2004 07:30 PM
