That answers my question. It did seem from the earlier posts that Roy hadn't even paid for the car yet, so unless Shelby would give an MSO, the car would have had a whole new set of problems when it was completed. It would seem to me, that if Finish Line is one of their "Golden Boy" dealers they would have released it to Dwaynes' representatives and re-covered it from any future sales dealings with them. The fact that it doesn't appear that will happen would make it seem that Shelby isn't too optimistic about Finish Lines' longevity and their abilty to get it back. I hope this is their FINISH line, however, that does raise the question of the other cars that are there. It doesn't look too good.

No - I think it came from the Tonight Show....When Carson did his Karnak routine. |
Heads up to anyone else that has a Car at Finish Line!!!!!!! Bust a Move Now before the place gets Pad locked!!! My Spidey sense tells me this is just the tip of the Iceberg.........................**) If this is how they treat a Cancer Patient with a highly publicized situation, I pity the Fool who is Healthy and is waiting for their COBRA from this guy!!

.......May the Bird of Paradise drop poopoo on your pippee %/ |
He is old enough to remember Jack Parr and possibly Ernie Kovacs!!

Whenever I go out shopping for overpriced Xmas stuff for the kids, I think of Johnny the Stick.

He probably remembers J. Fred Muggs too then?
Thinking of Johnny as Karnak makes me smile wide. |
You mean there are people who don't remember that stuff?

Get a Rope!
Somebody get a rope, and I'll show you one of the 'knots' I learned to tie, from the old 'gallows' at Folsom Prison!

And to think ol Shel had the nerve to sue Superformance and Factory Five for stealing from him.
Somebody has some seriously large huevos, and considerably fewer admirers tonight. |
To the collective powers here on CC.
I sure would like to see an electronic document that I could sign with a couple of boxes to check if I agreed with the sentence. Something like ones I jotted down here. I know their are better people to wordsmith the options but how about something like this. Worded briefly to protect CC or others from B.S. When signed by the crowd then send off to C.S. and Finishline. A. I have very strong feelings about the way this was handled. B. I have made it a point to tell many people about all this. C. I am willing to help Dwayne and support movement to stop this from happening again. D. Thanks to all the good people in the background working on this. E. Kirkhams...... RIGHT ON!! F. Shelby and Finishline SHAME ON YOU ! |
I'm pretty sure they are aware of this thread...at least some folks at Shelby are. Note that Brent Fenimore posted several pages back. As to Finishline, not sure they use the internet.

Jamo,
I think they have to know of this thread and are reading every post. My little electronic letter is just a thorn in their paw but damn. Somebody in their house would talley the damage and the numbers would get back to the powers that be, don't you think so? I just think the cry of this many people would have to be felt. |
jdog,
Got an update per our earlier conversation and for what its worth, as of last Friday morning. 4 workers in the lobby/showroom area, display cars up front filling up the front area, videos playing in the background, and get this... two fiberglass cars up front on display. My friend asked and he said they told him those cars were for sale and someone was picking one up soon. Four cars in the parking lot outside. The doors are still open but he did say it "was pretty dead around there though". Maybe the $42,900 cars are the ones queued up on a waiting list, but the exact same car for $20,000 more is for sale and readily available to cash-n-carry customers. Who knows... As in the Wizard Of OZ - "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! Best of Luck. |
Jeff;)

I'm not assuming ANYTHING is being done on the car. All we've heard at this point is they denied Kirkham from getting it.
Could it be the car is now "locked away" and won't be worked on by anybody until the legal issues are resolved? |
