Keith, if you do a search on this web site under "SPF sidepipes" you will find a thread in which a guy cut one in half. Take a perforated tube 2" in diameter and surrounded by steel wool and you can picture it. Superformance clearly took the conservative route when they spec'd their mufflers, but unfortunately they are too restrictive.
