Silverback,
I don't use tire chains! If there is more than 18" of snow on the road, it stays home for the day :-)
Actually, driving on snow and ice is great practice for track events. Everything just happens at lower speeds.
My first winter was the most difficult, as I learned how to deal with the snow, ice, dried salt (VERY slippery), and cinders. All good practice for smooth driving.
I work at a dealership, so am able to get it in a heated area and clean it up every couple of weeks. Suprisingly, after many winters (and salt), there is very little corrosion evident. Just enough to give it a well worn "patina".
I thought I should post a picture, as the thread says, "Post a cool picture of your car!". So here you go. This IS a great thread, with lots of awesome photos! Keep them coming, folks.
