New GOODYEAR Track Tires have Yellow Letters
Like all the other Goodyear track tires:
http://www.primequip.net/images/65%20427%20SC/GY_BL.jpg In the house. The letters are very neatly done compared to the old white ones. Now they can "yellow" all they want; should look like new a long time. Less slipping around the track now.:) http://www.utcobras.com/images/stori...x5/uclj002.jpg |
Are those completely slick? Is there any tread on them?
|
These are the "C" Cobra tires from Roger Kraus.
The C ones are slicks, track only. Their other ones are yellow letters, Roger said too. |
Larry did you just get your tires from Roger? Every time I call them they tell me another 3 weeks:( , including today. I guess I just need to be patient.:)
Dick |
Dick,
I put my "name on the list" so when the strike was over, he called. They started coming to Roger last week. They arrived here today. Larry |
Hey Larry do you have a link and do you know what sizes these come in?
Thanks, Todd |
Here is the link: Roger Kraus Racing
Prices are last year. They are these sizes for our roadsters: 26.5x8.0-15 fronts 26.5x10-15 rears For 15x7.5 front rims and 15x9.5 rear rims |
So all of the new billboard tires are yellow with that font?
|
Roger Kraus has not seen the new treaded tires yet, the ones we call "Blue Streak" designation B on their web site, they MAY be yellow too. They are not sure.
At least the track tires, like above, plus the C-2 hand grooved ones, are yellow. On the back they say "Stock Car Special". They can be run tubeless. |
The "As" are the Bluestreaks, which are ever so slightly treaded. "B" is the Billboard/Big Letter, which are rain tires. Two different tires.
|
Jamo,
Krause Racing today said they have not seen either treaded tires, A's or B's since the strike. So time will tell what GY does on those as far as color of the lettering. |

Larry, the Shelby Challenge cars have been running those tires for a couple of years!
|
Notice the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in the foreground. If any of you run 17" rims, this is a great tire at an attractive price.
I still think the yellow letters look fugly. :D -Dean |
I second the F1 GS-D3s I run those on my Saleen and will be picking up a set for my Boss302 as well.
Steve |
Has anyone ever determined if all the billboard tires will be yellow letters for now on? Jeez, only one guys opinion, but I think the yellow is ugly. I hope the white letters are still available. I get all confused with these tires. I know they're not street legal, but lets say a friend wants to run them on the street - :3DSMILE: - exactly what tire and size are we talking about? Is this guy Krause the place to get them?
