What a huge loss to our Cobra community. I met him for the first time back in '84, when I was 14 years old. It was at the Folly Vintage Grand Prix here in KC, and he let my younger cousin and I hang around the paddock with him for hours, asking him at least a thousand questions. He was always so gracious and friendly to everyone, and I always admired him for driving his car like it was intended to be driven, and never turning it into a static museum piece.

Godspeed to both he and his stepson - and my thoughts and prayers to the Smith family.
