If you work on a Cobra, you should be able to build a similar system for a heck of a lot less than a grand!
See a heating contractor in your area and give him a few bucks to save the old furnace blower when he installs a new furnace, then get that NAPA hose and rig up an exhaust system. The whole thing may run you a hundred smackers!

Wow, I just found the best reason for having a 'detached' garage.

I guess you realise that once the car is run in for a while a lot of the engine, paint, sealant and coatings will no longer smell.

...getting rid of the wife will result in her having a lot more money than you regardless of how much she earns..

A detached garage is certainly the best way to go as you also have a problem with noise when under the same roof as the house.

We rented for a while at a holiday destination and the garage door going up and down sounded like a jet about to land...

The Cobra was the jet landing each time it left and drove back in...
