TC, it would be good to know what kind of 427 motor the used car has. There are ALL KINDS of configurations. CHP offers a 427 that is a 351 motor bored and stroked to 427, and so do most other builders (Keith Craft, etc.). This motor is lighter, less expensive. Then there are 427 FE motors that cost a lot more. You should talk with a couple of motor builders first to get some of the pros and cons of each. An SPF roller is $42,000 (last figure I heard) and there is a dealer in the Midwest that has the biggest inventory in the US who can also tell you a lot about the car / motor combinations, and finished prices for turnkeys. When you get into the $54,000 territory, you really need to evaluate what it would take to get a new car, with your specs. Good luck and have fun. Rickd
