Al, You work very quickly! It was great to see you, Jeff, and Phil at VIR today. I haven't ever gotten to take my son, Clay, to such an event, so it was a special day for me. He really enjoyed it, I think to his surprise. I gave him the grand tour of the track, the pits (fortunately meeting several racers I knew so that made it more interesting for Clay to get to talk to them and listen to their stories.) The 427 made the trip without a hitch. Bill Fraley hasn't returned with the 289 as of this posting, so I think he made be headed for the Mexican border! (Just kidding!).
Lots of wonderful cars at the track and show. We had a caravan of a 1936 Ford Woody (which won Best of Show), a 289 Cobra, a 427 Cobra, and a 1967 Shelby GT500. We got lots of interesting looks on the way to the track. he one lap around the VIR track was very neat, although not at the speed I would have preferred, due to the number of cars on the track, but it was still fun.

Al,
This digital age is great!
Thanks for sharing since I was not able to get down that way. I like that Cougar and Jim looked to be doing great as well.
Thanks again for the post!

Hey Al,
Thanks for the ride down to VIR. Lots of great cars there. Love seeing both of Jim's cobras. Was thrilled to get Shelby's autograph. One day mine will be able to make road trips. At least I hope so. Nice meeting you and your wife. Hope to get together soon. Take care.
Phil

Thanks again for the shots. As Jim said, "You work very quickly!" Just imagine how much more quickly you could've worked had you been in the Cobra golf cart!
Thanks again for the pictures.
