Default Starter Switch

I am going to describe the type of switch I am looking for and perhaps someone can point me in the right direction:

You know those switches that have the red cover on them. You lift up the switch, and flick it up...then if you want to kill the circuit you simply slap down the cover..well here is what I am looking for:

I would like to turn the key to ign, then lift up the switch cover, turn the switch up on notch, then have one more spring loaded lift up switch to turn the car on...one the car is on, it would return to the ign level, however if i needed to kill the car, I could simply slap down the cover? So the only difference would be the switch may have to be spring loaded???

Let me know if this make sense because I need to put some kind of start button and I think this would be best b/c if I ever needed to kill the engine this would allow me the fastest way to do it.

Kramer,
The earlier members have given you some good web or order sources but perhaps you can find them in your local auto parts (chain ) stores. I am in Arizona and the Checker or Shucks/Kragen and Auto Zone stores have the aircraft style cover switch you want for 10 bucks per.
The switch most often found with the cover are SPST single Pole = single throw and are toggle switches rated at about 10 amps max. For the CRANK feature a MOMENTARY or spring loaded return type would be needed and it will also need to be closer to 50 amps than the common 10 amp switch.
How about using your key switch for the start/crank and run features it already has and simply break the (source to the coil ) wire with the covered toggle switch. You would have the looks and ability to kill ignition or turn off engine by closing the covered switch, this lets the key switch you already have handle the heavy current needs and the light amp needs of the toggle. have fun !!

edited for spell check
