07 GT500 Dyno
I know you guys like this stuff, so here's some info on an 07 GT500 I just did for a customer....
Car baselined at 411rwhp. The car was bone stock, except for long tube headers and high flow cats. Unfortunately, exhaust does nothing for these cars, and it actually hurt the power a bit, as these cars usually baseline about 430-440.
I added a carbon fiber intake/MAF system, and a 2.6 blower pulley. Threw it on the dyno and tuned it.
The car went from 411rwhp/411rwtq, to 541rwhp/532rwtq. That's a gain of 130 hp and 120 tq to the WHEELS. From a pulley, intake and tune. I can't think of any other car in the world that can gain 130hp to the wheels for $1000 in parts.
And on the street, this car is an absolute blast. A super torque monster ready to pull against anything it comes across. It may be 4000+ lbs, but who cares when you make 530 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels.
I can honestly say, this car totally lives up to what the original GT-500 was; a heavy, torque happy, stoplight brute.
Here's the before and after on the dyno:

That is impressive.
I've always had the idea that it was generally easy to easily boost up torque/HP on cars that came factory equipped with either a turbo or supercharger, as the factory generally doesn't run the boost very high, and it is very easy to increase boost, for more HP. I heard of someone sticking a needle into a vacuum/boost line to somehow trick the system into giving alot more boost, i.e. power. I think it was a turbo RX7 or Eclipse or something like that.

The Corvette people were completely demoralized."

Very good Anthony, yes this is one simple way to accomplish more boost on a turbocharged car..
I have a friend with a VERY fast SVO Mustang (remember those; 1984-1/2 to1986 I think? 2.3L turbo 4 banger; factory rated at about 175-205HP depending on the model year). On the vacuum line that tells the computer when the factory set "overboost" is achieved, you can put a small "leak" in the line so that the turbo will continue to "boost" for a while longer...
Now, this has to be done VERY CAREFULLY and a bit of math must be done to figure out how much of a "leak" you want to induce to get you to the max. boost that you want. My friend cut the rubber overboost line (was about a 1/4" I.D. line if memory serves me) and put a small section of metal tubing in the middle so that he could get an accurate "hole size" for the proper amount of leakage. It was a VERY small hole (like .020"). But, this gave him enough of a leak to go from the factory max. boost of about 12psi, up to about 18psi (reports are that the Griffiths(?) turbo units in these cars could reliably deliver @30psi boost, but that the motor's bottom end wouldn't survive very long at these levels without some serious mods.).
Overall, this light little 4 cylinder SVO was spanking a LOT of V8 cars on the street!!! Those SVOs handled VERY well too, they had adjustable Koni shock on all 4 corners... What a little go-kart!

Sal,
Is your increase in power keeping the Ford warranty intact as Shelbys GT500 package does or like Shelbys second power increase it also voids the Ford warranty. Of course in 2008 all these cars will be traded in on the new GT500KR.

Very unlikely .
As for the KR, I doubt you'll see many trade-ins. They make 9000 GT500s a year, and they are only making 1000 KRs.
