I have a Roush 343RE in my SPF2450.
One day, after returning from a run, I was checking over the motor and found the air filter loose. Looking closer, I discovered the adapter that threads into the middle of the throttle body had snapped thereby leaving the air filter to hang on without a fastener. It was a cheap cast aluminum piece which fortunately didn't drop any pieces into the motor.
After reverse-drilling out the piece, I called Roush Motorsports...Jack (Himself) answered...Recorded
.
After explaining my unhappiness with the broken part to a tech in the engine department, he said he will call me back (Yeah, right )
The same day!!!! He called and told me that they will take the specs off the aluminum piece and machine a steel one for me.
Less than a week later, I received a neatly done machined piece by special delivery.
It fit and works just fine.
The reason I'm writing all of this is to share with you my amazement and pleasure that a big company can still give prompt and personal service. By the way, I ended up talking to real people not several layers of machine.
As is usually the case, the performance and service of a company is a reflection of its management.
Thanks, Jack Roush!
