Driving Gloves - Any recommendations?
I'm looking for recommendations regarding some nice driving gloves.
Interested in racing style gloves, but I don't want them to be too thick.

I like the ones from Griots. But if you are going to race, then you will need the regular gloves with the Nomax Fire Resistant make up. I also like the driving shoes I got from Griots, but they aren't track legal either.

Simpson Talon Grip---they are made sort of in the shape of your hand with your fingers curved around the wheel--so they don't bunch up and become uncomfortable---and they are legal

I do have nomex gloves for racing but I used a pair of the Jim Clarks from Griots. Lasted about 6 years.
How about two golf gloves if you don't mind driving around with 'Titleist' on the back of your hands.

I use the golf gloves for sporting clays....Lot cheaper than the typical ones like from Browning and basically identical but I have some pretty tan ones for the car

I bought an excellent glove at the local Harley shop. The back is made from a perforated material that breaths. The palms and fingers are leather. Very good fit.

I have used many styles and manufacturers, and the most comfortable by far was the Stand 21 outside seam glove. Not bulky, not too hot. The only problem is that I'm pretty sure the parent company is French...

If fireproof is not needed, I would suggest a pair of motocross or motorcycle gloves. They are cut so you can wrap your hands around the handlebars(steering wheel!) without bunching up the fingers. Not too hot, curved fingers, just the ticket!

Chanmadd,
Logos on the gloves seems a bit much for me, personally. Just my $.02.
I WOULD, however, be interested in some golf-style shirts with the "Cobra", not Shelby on them. Some simple, clean looking ones, maybe without checkered flags all over them..

gloves from the Harley shop. Same with the great WileyX sunglasses.
Also got real racing gloves from Smiley's. (they have helmets, gloves, suits, etc)
Miles. he has collared golf shirts at his website. Pleasant design, no checkered flags. he advertises here, and has a website link. Slithering.

Thanks for the recommendations. I decided to to give the military flight gloves that Tinker51 mentioned a shot. I have some super light driving gloves and I didn't really need full race/nomex gloves.

i use simpson driving gloves, but have decided that in the future, if it summer, to wear my army issue aviator flight gloves. They take a little while to wear in, but nice and snug, with great feel. long gauntlets, too. I think they run slightly small in the sizing, so if your hands are inbetween, get them larger. Various colors.
Some years ago, my dad's WWII navy leather flight gloves were stolen out of his car at a repair shop. Wish they still made them.
crooks are everywhere.
all the best,

I may have to order a pair of the Les Leston gloves. Those are so cool!
There's something so classic about string-back gloves.
