I am picking it up and driving it home this week. Unless SS COBRA finds out the place is a RIP-OFF LOT!! (fingers crossed they're NOT).
I don't mind paying the sales tax, thats all part of doing business, but I just didn't want to get nailed twice for it. They must've just started doing this within the last couple years. When I bought a car in FT. Lauderdale in 2004 they didn't charge me sale tax. Well, I think we've come to the conclusion I need to pay it and South Carolina will give me a credit for the amount..... Since SC tax is only 5% and FL is 6% I shouldn't owe anything else. hopefully....but you know the DMV...always somethun'!!
