The Cobra is a car that pulls feelings from deep inside of you.
The look, sound, smell and pure acceleration cannot be described fully by words, it is an emotional experience.
It clears the mind of all other thoughts as you focus on the road, where to shift, your oil pressure and water temp. What new road you haven't driven down and wondering if it is curvy.
Then when it is time to go home and you pull in the garage and walk to the door and look back at your Cobra, you are glad you couldn't put the cover on her for the hot sidepipes because it means you have to come back and do it later for another look before you go in the house for the last time that day.

If you are getting it because someone else has one and you think it is cool or for attention I don't recommend getting one.
This precisely echoes my sentiments. I bought mine because I have always loved the Cobra. It's an elegantly crude, obnoxious, ham-fisted approach to a high performance race car (by todays standards) that also possesses a beauty unmatched by contemporary cars. It's an exercise in contrasts- which is one of the things that drew me to it.

I have several co-workers (with restored muscle cars, hot rods, & classics) telling me I should take it to this car show or that one... & I have to keep telling them I have no intention of showing it.

it's just not me... I didn't buy it to take to shows so people could ooh & aah over it. I don't need that kind of validation. I go to car shows to look at other cars, not to have to sit there and guard mine. (I'd be a total a$$ if I ever took mine to a show) I used to go with a buddy who would show his vette pretty regularly... I got bored with the scene... there's nothing wrong with it... it's just not for me. Who knows... maybe one day I'll show it & be hooked.

On its own, the car already garners more attention than I ever wanted. Be ready for it if you take the plunge. Near accidents from passers-by trying to get a better look or photo, streetlight challenges (puh-LEEZE), & the inevitable crowd that forms when you park. And of course, there's always the perennial question "is it real?"

the attention can be kinda cool, and yes, I get off on it from time to time (I'm human). But it can also become annoying as well... be prepared.

Still... owning and driving a Cobra is an experience like no other. It's the ultimate expression of power and speed wrapped in a timeless, absolutely stunning body. This car will not be ignored, whether parked or in motion. As others have stated... pressing the starter button is like poking a dragon with a stick.
