A hemi putting out 820 hp would not be streetable for 99.997% of good drivers...let alone the bored 1968 business exec...

? Is there ever enough HP ?
It is possible to build engines with outrageous HP numbers, but I think driveability is just as important.
Had I gone the .040 over and big stroker crank route I'm sure I could have surpassed the 750 HP mark, maybe I should have,it would eliminate most of the shifting.I could drive in 3rd and 4th gear only.

Sorry to dissapoint you Tim but when I ordered my 69 Cobra with the 428SJC which was factory rated at 335 horse, I had some work done on it and before they touched it they ran some dyno tests on it. It put out 408 horse at 6,000 RPM. After some work, cam change, boring, and balancing it dynoed at 440 horse at 6300 RPM. So the stock version did exceed the factory rating.
