Default Serpintine Belts

I have a 1989 5.0 ltr standard Mustang engine in my Cobra and need a new serpintine type belt. Can anyone advise where I can order one online? Also where is the best place to go for quiet fuel pumps??

Cheers!!!

Smile Belts

Take your old one to the parts store and buy a Goodyear or Gates. If you don't have a belt use a string to wrap around your pulleys to get the length. If you have a stock tension, don't forget to allow for it. I have 8 belts hanging on the wall. The last time I changed pulleys and bought a new belt I had to go to the parts store 4 times to get the correct belt. But I saved the box and traded each time.

Sandpit, are you rigging for the first time, or is this just a replacement?

If you are rigging, you can use a piece of rope and run it through the pullies and idlers to get a general length. Measure that and tell the bloke at the counter what length you need.

If it is a replace, Dwight has the answer.

I am rigging for the first time. How much do I allow for the tensioner?

Sandpit,
I have no clue about the serpentine belt but concerning the quiet fuel pump, I just switched from a Holley Red to a Holley Gerator style (HP125) and the difference in noise reduction is amazing!!
If the Holley Red was a 10 on the noise scale, the new Holley Gerator would be a 1.5!! Very Quiet!!

Thanks for the information on fuel pumps and belts. I think I have found a source for the belts in Dubai.

Cheers
