I agree. It's been easy of late to bash the old man. He seems to just keep giving us reasons to disagree with him. But I think it's relevant to point out that SAAC isn't innocent in all this. The desire to increase revenues goes both ways. SAAC is no longer a club, and hasn't been for years. It's a business run by men who don't answer to the members.

DougD,
Your point about SAAC is certainly not without merrit. It's a shame that the two entities weren't able to work this out without CS completely withdrawing his endorcement of the "club." Despite all of it's problems, SAAC, and more specifically its membership, has done more to keep interest in these cars alive than any other entity. Including CS, himself.
It should be interesting to see what comes out in the wash a few years down the road.

SAAC was blindsided by this action plain and simple. No offer was ever made or put on the table to attempt to unite the two or at least start the new Team while showing respect where it is due. Telling SAAC that they can not use the Shelby name or Trademarked images after all they have done for the preservation of this Marque is a Kick in the Nuts! they in no way shape or form pose any type of threat to Shelby Autos and if anything have done much to promote not only the old but the New Shelby cars! look at the new Shelby Hertz cars on the cover of the Shelby American for instance! God Bless sweet Amy and her attempt to sugar coat this cruel and disrespectful move on Carroll's part. but she need only review Shelby History books and see how each and every person who helped make his cars and various business entities great, are no longer his friends. I am sure the clock is already ticking on his love for her as well. hopefully she will see the writing on the wall before the Cobra bites her!

Snake fable?
Have you ever heard the fable of the frog that thinks twice about asking the snake for a ride across the pond. But, the snake assures him it will be all right, so he jumps on the snakes back.
About 1/2 way across the snake turns around and bites the frog. As he is dieing the frog askes the snake, why?
The snake says "I'm a snake, that's what I do." You knew I was a snake when you got on didn't you?
Don't blame the snake!...........It's what they do!
He named it COBRA, didn't he!
