Lew,
First of all, you don't need to pull the engine to change the pan unless you just want to pull the engine. I had to pull my pan to change my gasket, which I recommend changing if you have one of the piece of crap cork gaskets. The fiber ones seem to work well. I have the McLeod 12in clutch and pressure plate. I'm very happy with both.
