Interesting "edgy" and fun concept look. If you are are looking for feedback, when I look at this concept in roadster format, to me, it's almost more reminicent of a late 60s early 70s Corvette, with sharp lines added at the top of the front fenders and real quarters. Notably, you can see the snake eyes which looks even more like a Cobra than the original. However, when one thinks of what makes a 60s Cobra notable and fluid is the round nose and overly curvatious shape with no sharp edges anywhere.
QUESTION to ALL:
Why not make a modernized version of the real thing, shape and all? Not referring to any of the previous Ford or concepts listed on Clubcobra before over the last few years... (we've all seen those) but has ANYONE ever made up a modernized concept version of an original, using all the EXACT same shape and lines, but just making it a little wider and longer, with all the modern amenties and suspenstion of modern-day car... Why change perfection, and just make the obvious in a modern version? That's what I'd like to see, with a nice cammer V8, real sidepipes, and sound. If this was actually produced, with the right shape, using high quality engineering, parts, and construction, I bet it would see more press than the Viper or former V10 concept Cobra ever did. Hopefully, sooner or later, someone will see the obvious and just make it already. Geez
Ford, are you listening, it's a no-brainer?

Concept Car
I think the car has a split personality (a lot of personalities); every feature on the car is a "tribute" to some other car. I would pull it all in to one tribute and focus on capturing the essence a specific car or feeling and not using "features" to overwhelm the viewer.
Just MHO.

I like it. Front end looks a little large in scale compared to the back end. Only thing I noticed. Also, front end a little "blocky". Rear more "Swoopy". I prefer the swoopy. I see the cobra stuff. Very nice. Better than most. Has enough detail to keep the eye's interest. Not like, for instance, a Callaway roadster, that just looks like an egg with head lights and a grill.

Wow! It is a completely different direction but really awesome and innovative. Fit it with a hydrogen engine and put me on the order list.

Looks a lot like an early 70's Aston Martin V8.
From the one view, the front end looks like the Aston, and even the side ports/vents remind me of the Aston.

Hey Guys…
Thanks for all the great comments…
I really appreciate the feed back. I understand what a lot of you are saying about the Font being flat and that you can see all these other cars in the design. That was the intention sort of… Even though this car was inspired by the Cobra I made sure not to make it look like a cobra. There are sever legal issues and a few other people out there are attempting to make a modern Cobra, so I will leave it to them.
The front end is more rounded than it shows in the rendered images… I am no expert in CAD so the perspective is off a little. The front end is way smaller than the back end although it does not look like it. The nose of the car is very low and small. I have some friends at Bell Helicopter testing the Flow Dynamics of the car for me and it’s looking to be better than what you may think.
Keep in mined that this car is close to the same size of the Cobra (Small) the wheel base is only 5” longer and the car is about 4” wider. The car looks a lot bigger than it really is.
All vents and openings on the car are fully functioning and have a purpose. I don’t think its over styled like some have said. I made sure to keep the lines rather simple and clean. The front end is defiantly different than a lot of today’s cars. That was the point… Maybe it’s just me but I am getting tired of pointy wedged shaped cars with all these non functional scoops and vents in today’s market. I really wanted to make a car that looked aggressive, possibly classic and can withstand time. It seems back in the 50s – 60s designers creative skills were not as limited and designers created a wide variety of unique wonderful cars. This is what I tried to hone in on as much as I can while also making it a modern car. It’s difficult to merge the two eras.
Anyway keep the comments coming… I hope to have some more build photos posted on my site soon.
PS. I am in the middle of reworking some areas to allow for both internal and side pipes. Some states will not allow the side pipes so I want to make sure that both configurations will work and that the car will still look good without the side pipes.

Wow… I think you may want to look at my site to compare front ends… I can’t see the resemblance. Although I am a big fan of the Austin Martin I can’t see any similarities. The side vents on my design are aluminum blades hence the name of the car is the Blade.
